Bates Bikes has prided itself on providing a bicycle to customers that is well suited to the budget and to their particular needs. This comes from a wealth of experience and knowledge of cycling. Hundred of thousands of bikes have been sold from Bates Bikes and the shop has built a reputation for service and support. The shop sells only quality bicycles, accessories and clothing and can also offer back up service and support for all aspects of cycling. Phill Bates AM, has been awarded an Order of Australia for his services to cycling and community events, is the Managing Director and has carefully selected staff to ensure a well balance shop that can cater for all cyclists needs, whether road racing, recreational, moutainbikes, track or BMX. Phill Bates is one of the most successful entrepreneurs of cycling in Australia having staged the Commonwealth Bank Cycle Classic for 19 years, Tour de Snowy, Women’ s World Cup, Track World Cups, World Series Cycling and World Track Championships. Phill is President of St. George Cycling Club, a Board member of Cycling Australia and for eight years a member of the World’s Federation Track Commission. He is also a large contributor to the community and has been Hurstville Citizen of the Year and Chairman of the Hurstville Community Committee.

Bates
Bikes has been providing bikes of various denominations, from the
smallest juvenile bikes and scooters up to the racing bikes utilised
by the best cyclists in the world. The shop has sold well over 200,000
bicycles and had close to a million customers during this time.
